Cincinnati Open: Sinner loses to Galan in straight sets
Who is going to be the next Jannik Sinner vs. Gabriel Diallo? The Canadian colossus is based completely on his serve. The two teams have not confronted each other.
He became a professional in 2023 and he is one of the most intriguing up-and-coming players on the ATP Tour with his highest singles ranking of 35th in the world reached in July 2025. Diallo is noticeable due to his immense height (203 cm) and a strong serve, which can also define him as an difficult player to confront, in particular in the hard courts where the Cincinnati Masters 1000 will be held on.
He has a mixed heritage since he was born to a Ukrainian mother and a father who was born in Guinea . Early on in his tennis career he was trained by Sam Aliassime father of Faelix Auger-Aliassime who is one of the most influential people in Canadian tennis. He started making an impression as he won ITF and Challenger events such as the Granby Challenger in 2022 and Bratislava Challenger in 2023. At the ATP level, in 2025 he won his maiden title of the major tour in s-Hertogenbosch (an ATP 250 tournament on grass) as well as reaching the finals of other major titles. His journey also took him to the history of Canada winning the Davis cup dramatically in 2022 which brought a milestone to his career.
No. 1, comfortably ahead of Galan, finishes 6-1, 6-1, goes, "All good." Disappointment of Musetti: the Tuscan is beaten by Bonzi.
